2027 by ascendant: dated structural windows for all 12 rising signs

One sky, twelve vantage points. The 2027 transit skeleton is identical for everyone: Saturn crossing from Pisces into Aries, Jupiter moving through Cancer, Leo and Virgo, Rahu holding Capricorn and Ketu holding Cancer. What changes is which of your houses those movements load. This hub carries the shared dates and links each rising sign's page.

What this series is. Twelve pages, one per rising sign, each rotating the same dated 2027 transit skeleton through that sign's whole sign houses. All positions are sidereal, computed with the True Pushya Paksha ayanamsa via Swiss Ephemeris, which is why the dates here differ by days to weeks from most published (Lahiri-based) listings. The pages describe structural windows, meaning periods of added pressure or support in specific life areas. They are context, not scored predictions; Tempora's dated forward calls live on the Tracker with written test conditions.

What the series is, and what it is not

Transit reading is the simplest layer of Vedic timing: take today's planetary positions, place them against the houses of a birth chart and note which life areas the slow movers are loading. The ascendant, the sign rising in the east at birth, sets the house count. With whole sign houses the rising sign is the first house in its entirety, the next sign is the second house and so on around the zodiac. A Saturn ingress into Aries is therefore a first house event for an Aries ascendant, a twelfth house event for a Taurus ascendant and a tenth house event for a Cancer ascendant. Same sky, different load-bearing wall.

Each page in this series takes the 2027 skeleton below and walks it through one rising sign: which houses Saturn, Jupiter and the nodes occupy, when the occupancy changes and what the classical reading says those house placements typically correlate with. The pages deliberately stop short of event prediction. A tenth house Saturn window is a period when career structures carry more load; it is not a promotion or a dismissal on a named date. Where Tempora does publish dated, falsifiable calls, they carry test conditions and sit on the Tracker; the withdrawn and experimental register sits on the Lab.

Transits are also only one timing layer. The dasha system running underneath a chart usually matters more than any single transit, which is why each ascendant page reads best alongside the chart's mahadasha context. If you have not chosen a timing lens yet, the dasha system comparison covers when practitioners reach for Vimshottari, Yogini or Chara, and the dasha systems cluster indexes the deeper method pieces.

The shared 2027 transit skeleton

Every date below is sidereal under True Pushya Paksha. The same astronomical moments carry different sign labels under other reckonings; the section after the table explains why.

KetuIn Cancer all year (from 27 Dec 2026)All of 2027

Three features of this skeleton do most of the work across the twelve pages. First, Saturn's 23 May Aries ingress is the year's structural hinge: Saturn changes sign roughly every two and a half years, so a shift moves the pressure point one house for every chart at once, and the 4 November retreat into Pisces means every chart gets a replay of the old configuration before the ingress finalises on 11 February 2028. Second, Jupiter covers three signs in one calendar year, which is unusually fast for the chart's main support significator; whichever houses Cancer, Leo and Virgo occupy for your ascendant each get a distinct supported season. Third, the nodes hold one axis all year: Rahu in Capricorn and Ketu in Cancer sit on the same pair of opposite houses for twelve straight months, a slow-burn theme rather than a dated event.

Why these dates differ from most published 2027 dates

Most Vedic almanacs and software default to the Lahiri ayanamsa, the Indian government's official sidereal anchor. Tempora computes with True Pushya Paksha, an anchor set to the centre of the Pushya nakshatra. The two differ by roughly a tenth of a degree in the current era, which sounds negligible until a slow planet approaches a sign boundary: Saturn covers a tenth of a degree in about three days, and retrograde geometry near a cusp can stretch that difference further. Ingress dates published here will therefore not match most listings, and that is expected rather than an error. The full argument for the anchor choice, including where the two systems converge and where they split, is in True Pushya Paksha vs Lahiri. If you are newer to the two-zodiac question itself, sidereal vs tropical covers the layer beneath: why a sidereal chart differs from a Western tropical chart in the first place.

The twelve pages

Each entry links the full page for that rising sign with its one-line 2027 headline. If you do not know your rising sign, any accurate birth-time chart computed sidereally will show it; Kaal computes it from birth data with the same ephemeris and ayanamsa this series uses.

How to get the most out of the series

Read your ascendant page first, then your moon sign's page as a secondary layer; where both counts flag the same months, treat the window as heavier. Hold the pages lightly where your birth time is uncertain, because a rising sign flips roughly every two hours and an uncertain time can put you one whole page off. And remember the resolution limit: sign-level transit reading is the coarsest instrument in the toolkit. Degree-level contacts to natal planets and the running dasha both refine it, and both are chart-specific in a way a series like this cannot be.

Frequently asked

How should I read the 2027 ascendant pages?

Find your rising sign in a sidereal chart computed with an accurate birth time, then open that sign's page. Each page takes the same 2027 transit skeleton (Saturn between Pisces and Aries, Jupiter through Cancer, Leo and Virgo, Rahu in Capricorn and Ketu in Cancer) and rotates it through that sign's whole sign houses. The dates are shared across all twelve pages; what changes is which houses the transits load. The pages describe structural windows, meaning periods when specific life areas carry more pressure or more support than the baseline, not guaranteed events.

Should I read my ascendant page or my moon sign page?

For house-based transit work the ascendant is the primary reference because houses are counted from the rising sign. The moon sign gives a second, complementary count that classical practice uses for emotional and mental weather, and Saturn's moon-sign phases are a separate technique with their own literature. If your ascendant and moon sign differ, the conventional approach is to read the ascendant page first and the moon sign page as a secondary layer. Where both counts flag the same months, the window carries more weight.

Why do these dates differ from most published 2027 transit dates?

Most published Vedic transit dates use the Lahiri ayanamsa. Tempora computes with True Pushya Paksha, a different sidereal anchor that sits roughly 0.10 degrees away from Lahiri in the current era. For a slow planet near a sign boundary that small offset moves an ingress date by days to weeks, which is why Tempora's Saturn and Jupiter dates do not match most panchanga listings. Neither anchor is wrong; they are different commitments about where the sidereal zodiac starts, documented in Tempora's ayanamsa comparison articles.

Are these pages predictions?

No. The ascendant pages describe structural windows: dated periods when the classical reading says a life area carries more load or more support. They carry no test conditions and are not scored. Tempora's dated, falsifiable forward calls live on the public Tracker, each with a written test condition and a reconciliation date. The ascendant series is context, not a scoreboard entry.

This hub and the twelve pages it links represent conventional Vedic transit teaching applied to the 2027 calendar, computed sidereally with the True Pushya Paksha ayanamsa via Swiss Ephemeris. Structural windows are context, not guarantees, and individual charts vary in ways sign-level pages cannot capture. This series does not constitute financial, medical, legal or personal advice.
