The Mid 2027 Hinge: Two Slow Planets Move Within 27 Days
Published 11 September 2026 · Last updated 11 September 2026
Saturn enters sidereal Aries on 23 May 2027. Jupiter leaves exalted Cancer for Leo on 19 June 2027. Twenty seven days separate them, and between them they end a Saturn placement that has run since 2025 and a Jupiter exaltation that has run since May 2026. Both then reverse and return before settling in 2028. This page holds the computed sequence and links every reading on this site that depends on it.
Slow planet ingresses are the skeleton of any mundane or personal forecast, because they are the only inputs that hold still long enough to date a chapter by. Two of them landing inside one month is what makes mid 2027 the most referenced window in this corpus. This page exists so those references point at one computed sequence.
The computed sequence
| Date | Movement |
|---|---|
| 11 February 2028, 02:30 IST | Saturn re-enters Aries and stays |
| 8 March 2028, 19:00 IST | Retrograde Jupiter re-enters Leo, second pass opens |
| 23 May 2027, 05:30 IST | Saturn leaves Pisces and enters Aries |
| 19 June 2027, 11:30 IST | Jupiter leaves exalted Cancer and enters Leo. 27 days after Saturn |
| 17 July 2028, 15:00 IST | Jupiter enters Virgo to stay |
| 4 November 2027, 00:30 IST | Saturn returns to Pisces in retrograde |
| 18 November 2027, 15:00 IST | Jupiter enters Virgo, first Leo pass closes |
Computed on the Swiss Ephemeris under the True Pushya Paksha ayanamsa, scanned at hour resolution and stated in IST. Three of these crossings occur during the working day, which is why calendars built on a midnight sampled daily grid report them one day late. That error was present on our own Jupiter page when it was first published and is recorded there.
Why the reversals matter more than the ingresses
Neither planet settles on its first attempt. Saturn enters Aries in May 2027, retrogrades back into Pisces on 4 November, and only holds Aries from 11 February 2028. Jupiter enters Leo in June 2027, moves on to Virgo in November, returns to Leo in March 2028 and leaves for good in July.
The practical consequence is that any reading treating mid 2027 to mid 2028 as one continuous condition is describing a calendar that does not exist. There is a first pass, a gap of roughly three to four months in which both planets step back, and a second pass. Conditions that open in the first pass and appear to stall over the winter have not stalled. The transit stepped out and will return.
What reads from this window
Saturn side. The Saturn in Aries hub carries the sign level reading. Sade sati in 2027 computes the phase boundaries, including the double exit that the November retrograde produces for Aquarius moons. The Saturn return cohort covers those born 1996 to 1999. Sector readings sit at real estate, crude oil and AI capital expenditure.
Jupiter side. The Jupiter in Leo hub carries the split run and the twelve ascendant grid beneath it. The exaltation that ends in June 2027 is covered at Jupiter exalted in Cancer, and where the chapter goes next at Jupiter 2028.
Dated calls. One open forward call carries a horizon past this window: the gold band for the fourth quarter of 2027, which sits on the public board with its condition stated in advance. Every other open call on the board settles before the hinge opens. That is worth stating plainly, because a page that gathers a cluster of readings should be clear about how much of it is currently under test. Most of this window is analysis waiting for its calls to be written.
What a hinge does not mean
Two slow planets changing sign close together is a structural fact about the sky, and it is the same fact for everyone. It does not follow that a given life or a given market turns in June 2027. The dasha a chart is running decides how much of any transit reaches the ground, and for a market chart the same question applies to the national or exchange nativity. A hinge marks where the conditions change. What happens there is a separate question, and on this site it gets answered with dates and a falsifier or it does not get answered.
Method
Ingress instants were located by scanning each planet's sidereal longitude hourly and recording the crossing of each 30 degree boundary, under the PVRN Rao True Pushya Paksha ayanamsa on the Swiss Ephemeris, then converted to IST. Retrograde returns are the same computation and are included rather than smoothed over.
Questions
What happens in mid 2027 astrologically?
Saturn enters sidereal Aries on 23 May 2027 and Jupiter leaves exalted Cancer for Leo on 19 June 2027, twenty seven days apart. Two slow planets changing sign inside one month is unusual and it ends both a Saturn placement running since 2025 and a Jupiter exaltation running since May 2026.
When exactly does Saturn enter Aries?
23 May 2027 at 05:30 IST under the True Pushya Paksha ayanamsa. Saturn then returns to Pisces on 4 November 2027 and holds Aries from 11 February 2028.
When does Jupiter leave Cancer?
19 June 2027 at 11:30 IST. Jupiter runs Leo to 18 November 2027, returns 8 March 2028 and leaves for Virgo on 17 July 2028.
Is mid 2027 a good or bad period?
It is a structural change in conditions and the same change for everyone. Whether it reaches a particular life or market depends on the chart in question and the period it is running, which a sign level page cannot compute.
Does Tempora have dated calls on this window?
One open call carries a horizon past it, a gold band for the fourth quarter of 2027. The rest of the current board settles before the hinge opens, so most of the 2027 material on this site is analysis that has not yet been converted into dated calls.
