Rahu Mahadasha for Virgo Ascendant: Amplification Under Audit

Virgo rising is the chart that checks its own work. Mercury rules both the lagna and the 10th house here, fusing who the person is with what they produce, and giving the chart a standing habit of verification. Rahu, the great exaggerator among the nine grahas, spends its 18-year mahadasha testing exactly that habit.

An exaggerator reporting to an auditor

Rahu is not a body. It is the ascending node of the Moon, a computed intersection of two orbits, and because a point cannot own a sign the Parashari method gives it no houses to rule for any lagna. Its dasha is therefore read through proxies: the lord of the sign the node occupies and the house it sits in, both delivered at higher gain than the underlying planet would manage alone. The sign holding natal Rahu selects the channel. In Gemini the node reports directly to Mercury and the whole period becomes the identity-career circuit at volume. In Taurus or Libra it borrows the Venus portfolio of income and fortune. In Capricorn or Aquarius it picks up Saturn's workload register. Conjunctions bend the channel further. Rahu sitting with Mercury anywhere in the chart pre-loads the audit theme, because dispositor logic and conjunction logic then point at the same lord. Rahu-Venus, three full years

The longest sub-period, running Venus's 2nd and 9th lordship. Income, family assets, teachers and long journeys occupy the register, and the fortune signal is unusually clean because Venus rules no difficult house for Virgo risings. Materially this is often the best stretch of the eighteen.

Rahu-Saturn, 2 years 10 months and 6 days

Elsewhere this slice earns its heavy reputation.
